In this review I may shorten the title to ‘Shawshank’. (Adapted into the well-known film The Shawshank Redemption (1994) starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman) This story is actually a short story found in King’s book, Different Seasons. That’s right! I’m going to review is ‘Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption’. To start off, I’ve got quite a mellow book in terms of King… yes, he’s known for his horrors (and why not?- they’re great! Pet Sematary is one of my all time favourite books!) but King has also produced some fantastic dramas- this particular story is one of my all-time favourite films and King stories… Now, I must confess- if you’re not a fan of Stephen king, you may not like this post- BUT WAIT! I bet I can change your mind. I’ve reviewed a few horrors lately so I wanted to share my thoughts with you on a much beloved story of mine.
